Who Are We? We are a group of 3 volunteers who have purchased a wheel chair accessible bus to take residents who are confined to a nursing home out for recreational activities-empowering body, mind, and SPIRIT!

Why Are We Needed? 40,000 people are cared for by GA nursing homes annually. While there are govt. programs and private insurance to ensure the physical and medical needs of these patients, who provides their mental and emotional needs? Continuous govt. cutbacks in Medicare and Medicaid prevent nursing homes from expanding their current programs. Can you imagine being confined to a nursing home with no way to go to the park, out to lunch or just to the store? There is no affordable transportation in the community to provide such an important need-UNTIL NOW!  Improving the patient’s quality of life is an ongoing effort between facilities, volunteers, activity directors, and the Georgia Nursing Home Association (advocates for the elderly). We believe activities outside the facility not only benefit the residents, but families as well (for those who have families). We NEED your help to continue this service.
